What should the student already be able to do before Introduction to Qira’at?
Advanced Tajweed. The trial lesson checks this, and if the student is not ready the tutor will say so and recommend what comes first.
How long does Introduction to Qira’at take?
Typically 20 to 52 weeks. It is a range because progress varies with the age of the student, how often they attend and how much they practise between lessons. A single number would be a promise about a student we have not met.
What will the student be able to do afterwards?
Understand why recitations differ; Recognise a non-Hafs recitation. Progress is recorded in the notes sent after each lesson, so you can see it rather than take it on trust.
Is Introduction to Qira’at taught differently by age?
Yes. It is planned for 6 different groups of student, each with its own lesson length and weekly frequency. The same service looks different for a six-year-old than for an adult.
Can we choose a male or female tutor?
Yes. You choose when you book, and it stays the same tutor for every lesson unless you ask to change. Female tutors teach throughout.
Is the trial lesson really free?
Yes. It is a full lesson with the tutor you would actually be assigned, ending in a written assessment. We do not ask for payment details to book it, and there is no obligation to continue.
