Quran classes for sisters
Lessons run to the same length as any adult class. What differs is the arrangement, not the content or the standard.
- Lesson length
- 45 minutes
- Lessons a week
- 1–3
- Age range
- 12+
Where most students start
As varied as any adult group. Many have not studied since childhood and want a setting where asking a basic question is comfortable.
What is expected at home
None for adults. For under-18s a guardian is present at enrolment.
What usually gets in the way
- Finding class times around household routines
- Wanting a consistent teacher rather than whoever is free
What they usually want
- Learn with a female teacher throughout
- Read and recite correctly
- Teach their own children afterwards
What you can study
Beautiful Recitation (Tarteel)
Reciting with measure and beauty, within the rules rather than at their expense.

Quranic Arabic Foundations
The vocabulary and grammar that account for most of the Quran’s words.
Learn to Pray (Salah)
Every position of the prayer and what is said in it, taught step by step.

Ijazah Preparation
Working towards a certified chain of transmission, with the recitation standard that requires.
