Questions from families in Canada
What time are lessons held in Canada?
At whatever hour suits you. Availability is stored in UTC and matched against your local clock, so a family in Canada and a tutor elsewhere are reasoning about the same instant rather than about each other's clocks.
Do you cover every timezone in Canada?
We schedule against America/Toronto, America/Edmonton, America/Vancouver. Tell us which one you are in when you book and the times we offer are already converted.
Which currency are fees charged in?
Plans are billed in CAD for families in Canada. The price you are quoted before the trial is the price charged.
Is there anything specific to families in Canada?
Weekend is Saturday and Sunday. School runs September to late June. Urdu, Arabic, Punjabi, Somali and Farsi are common at home; French is a factor in Quebec.
Can we choose a male or female tutor?
Yes. You choose when you book, and it stays the same tutor for every lesson unless you ask to change. Female tutors teach throughout.
Is the trial lesson really free?
Yes. It is a full lesson with a tutor, not a sales call, and it ends with a written assessment. We do not ask for payment details to book it, and there is no obligation to continue.
If your question is not here, ask it. We would rather answer honestly now than have you find out after enrolling.
Tell us when you are free
