What should the student already be able to do before Tajweed Foundations?
Able to read Arabic words. The trial lesson checks this, and if the student is not ready the tutor will say so and recommend what comes first.
How long does Tajweed Foundations take?
Typically 16 to 36 weeks. It is a range because progress varies with the age of the student, how often they attend and how much they practise between lessons. A single number would be a promise about a student we have not met.
What will the student be able to do afterwards?
Apply the core rules while reading; Hear the rules in a reciter’s voice. Progress is recorded in the notes sent after each lesson, so you can see it rather than take it on trust.
Is Tajweed Foundations taught differently by age?
Yes. It is planned for 10 different groups of student, each with its own lesson length and weekly frequency. The same service looks different for a six-year-old than for an adult.
Can we choose a male or female tutor?
Yes. You choose when you book, and it stays the same tutor for every lesson unless you ask to change. Female tutors teach throughout.
Is the trial lesson really free?
Yes. It is a full lesson with the tutor you would actually be assigned, ending in a written assessment. We do not ask for payment details to book it, and there is no obligation to continue.
