Tajweed Foundations for Teenagers (ages 12–17) — Male Teacher
Tajweed Foundations for teenagers (ages 12–17), taught with a male teacher in 45-minute lessons, 2–4 lessons a week. The rules that change the most: noon sakinah, meem sakinah, and the lengthening of madd.
Lesson length and why
Forty-five minutes is comfortable, and the lesson can go deeper — a teenager can hold a rule, apply it, and explain why it applied. Being talked down to loses them faster than difficulty does.
Where most students start
Extremely varied. Some read fluently and want Tajweed or Hifz; others stopped at eight and are self-conscious about being behind.
What is expected at home
Minimal, and usually better that way. Scheduling around school and exams is the main thing a parent still handles.
How long it takes
Tajweed Foundations typically runs 16–36 weeks at 2–4 lessons a week. The range is wide because it moves with revision between lessons more than with anything that happens in them.
