Forty-five minutes, with time set aside for questions. Nothing is assumed as already known, including vocabulary other students take for granted.
Where most students start
No Arabic, and often no background knowledge to hang it on. Frequently learning to pray at the same time as learning to read.

Fiqh of Worship typically runs 20–44 weeks at 1–3 lessons a week. The range is wide because it moves with revision between lessons more than with anything that happens in them.
