Thirty minutes while everything is unfamiliar. The lesson stays short because cognitive load is high when every symbol is new.

No Arabic letters, no prior study. Sometimes no experience of the script at all, including which direction it runs.

Depends on age. For adults, none; for children, daily review at home.
How long it takes
Advanced Tajweed typically runs 24–52 weeks at 2–4 lessons a week. The range is wide because it moves with revision between lessons more than with anything that happens in them.
